Industry 7 was appointed to deliver a compact but high-impact fitout at 6 Short Street, focused on upgrading the boardroom, reception, and adjoining open-plan area to reflect the client’s brand and provide a more polished, client-facing environment.
The works included selective demolition of carpet finishes, followed by minor floor preparation and the installation of P3 slip-rated, carbon neutral vinyl planks throughout the boardroom and reception. New partitions were constructed to extend the boardroom wall, built with acoustic insulation and finished with angle trim and plaster set to a high standard.
Feature joinery was introduced in key areas, including a 3-metre black base cabinet with a polished concrete-effect resin benchtop in the boardroom. Timber slats were installed and painted in the client’s corporate green, contributing to a consistent visual identity. A preserved moss wall featuring the illuminated company logo was constructed as a statement piece in the reception.
Electrical works included suspended feature lighting, new power and data outlets, and infrastructure for AV and signage. Curtain sheers were added to five window locations, softening the space and improving privacy without compromising natural light. Existing decking was refurbished and refinished to complement the internal upgrades.
All disruptive works were carried out after hours to minimise disturbance, and several variations were managed throughout the programme to accommodate additional client requests and site discoveries.
