Industry 7 was engaged to deliver a complete commercial office fitout on Level 5 of 38 Cavill Avenue, transforming a vacant tenancy into a vibrant, functional workspace with a refined industrial finish. The project was delivered across open-plan and enclosed spaces, including a new reception area, boardroom, six private offices, kitchen, and storeroom.
The scope began with a full internal strip-out and floor preparation, followed by the installation of new partitions with glazed frontages, acoustic treatment, and architectural detailing. A feature kitchen was constructed using black cabinetry, soft-close joinery, and a polished concrete-effect benchtop, accompanied by integrated plumbing and a central island. Timber slats, lime wash paint finishes, and black powder-coated details contributed to a layered aesthetic with strong material contrast.
Lighting upgrades included the installation of pendant fittings throughout the open plan space, along with GPOs, power poles, and emergency lighting. HVAC, fire, and plumbing services were modified to suit the new layout, and ceiling tiles were selectively replaced. Floor coverings comprised over 400 sqm of acoustic-backed vinyl plank flooring, slip-rated and carbon neutral. Furniture, appliances, and certain joinery elements were supplied by the client and coordinated by Industry 7 as part of the fitout delivery.
Disruptive works were undertaken outside standard hours to avoid impact on building occupants, with multiple variations managed throughout delivery to accommodate evolving design intent and client-supplied materials.
