Industry 7 was engaged to transform Level 12.5 of Niecon Tower into a rooftop boardroom and breakout space with an industrial aesthetic, blending exposed concrete, matte black finishes, and refined detailing. The project included the refurbishment of the internal boardroom, external patio, and stairwell access from Level 12, delivering a cohesive high-end space for meetings, informal collaboration, and entertaining.
Internally, the works began with a full de-fit, followed by the creation of a polished concrete floor using mechanical grinding and a multi-coat polyurethane seal. Existing services were rationalised and reconfigured, with all ceiling-mounted infrastructure exposed and painted black, including new suspended feature lighting, fire services, and cable trays. A new kitchenette and coffee point were introduced, and all walls were refinished in a dark grey with black skirting and switchgear to reinforce the industrial theme.
The external patio was upgraded with new decking over a waterproofed membrane, a frameless glass balustrade fixed to concrete with stainless standoffs, and a feature LED strip along the base of the glazing. An aluminium privacy screen was installed to conceal mechanical services, and a built-in table was fabricated for the outdoor area. The stairwell connecting Levels 12 and 12.5 was also fully refurbished with updated lighting, safety nosing, painted finishes, and slip-rated floor coatings.
Planting and furniture were coordinated to soften the architectural treatment, including a preserved moss green wall featuring the client’s illuminated logo. All disruptive works were delivered outside business hours to avoid tenant impact.
